The design has a very dynamic composition. The rope and feather and the knot in the wood take up enough of the picture plane, however the feather does not reach outside the edges. The visual flow is kind of separated, but it is acceptable. The strongest visual flow is from the bottom right at the stem of the feather and the eye travels up it and to the knot in the wood, which is the focal point. The design definitely understand visual texture and how it is achieved through line. The design incorporates 3 textures: sanded wood, a rope, and a feather. The design is very clean and there are no smudges or accidental marks and every area of the design looks intentional and well drawn.
